Essential Question- Native American

The American Dream is not “one size fits all”, the Dream has different meanings to different groups of people but refusal to accept such diversity results in oppression of those minorities. The white mans dream was to become economically wealthy and prosperous. However the dream for Native Americans was to have peace and harmony with each other and nature. The white man destroys the Native Americans dream. He oppresses the natives by taking away their land in order to use it to benefit themselves and their dream. The refusal of the whites to compromise and accept dreams which differs from theirs contradicts their own reasoning for founding America, a place to escape answering to higher authority.
